RGIT Australia has memorandums of understanding (MoU) with more than 70 reputed industry partners to provide its students with practical, real-life industry work placements to ensure that RGIT Australia students graduate job-ready.
We work closely with our industry partners to ensure that current industry trends and requirements are incorperated into our classroom and simulated environment learning curriculum.
Regular industry consultations ensure that RGIT Australia, together with its industry partners, can equip students and prepare them for work placements in a wide range of industries, such as business and IT, health, community services and childcare.










Industry Events
Consultations, validation sessions, professional development (PD) and “train the trainer” sessions provide RGIT Australia and industry the opportunity to come together to ensure that RGIT Australia’s delivery of training is tailored to industry practices.
ECEC Consultation and Validation
RGIT Australia’s Childcare and Community Services Department hosted an Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) industry consultation and validation session at the Institute’s Main Campus on Monday, 3 September 2018.
Glenroy Memorial Preschool Director, Maha Mikhail, consulted with RGIT Australia ECEC trainers, Sangeeta Khol and Rizwana Ali, and provided them with insight on how they could improve student assessment tasks. Ms Mikhail’s advice also prompted a number of role plays used in class to be altered to more truly reflect day-to-day operations of a childcare care centre.
Hospitality Consultation and Validation
RGIT Australia held a hospitality industry consultation and validation session with industry experts at its Main Campus in Melbourne on Thursday, 9 August 2018.
RGIT Australia’s Hospitality Department hosted the session which saw industry experts, Front Office Manager, Nish Polu, and Sous Chef, Chandra Kumar, from Melbourne’s prestigious Stamford Plaza Hotel, share ideas on how RGIT Australia can best tailor its hospitality training to meet industry needs. The experts received a comprehensive tour of RGIT Australia’s Main Campus, including its Level 1 Training Kitchen, before an interactive question-answer-session with hospitality students and staff.The question-answer-session enhanced students’ understanding of the industry and allowed them to ask questions such as how to balance work, studies and personal life. Following the session, the hospitality buffet gave students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and expertise to the industry experts and all in attendance at the session.
The main purpose of RGIT Australia’s industry consultation and validation session was to ensure that the Institute continues to deliver real-life industry skills to its students through tailored training. The session also allowed industry to advise on trainer assessments used across the wide-range of hospitality courses available at RGIT Australia.
RGIT Australia’s Hospitality Department can proudly claim to be using “best practice” as the Stamford Plaza industry experts confirmed the Institute’s training delivery after a robust investigation of its learning resources and curriculum.
RGIT Australia’s “Train the Trainer” Professional Development (PD) Sessions
RGIT Australia’s regular “Train the Trainer” professional development (PD) sessions are aimed at equipping trainers with the tools they need to delivery quality education, making part of RGIT Australia’s long-established staff skills’ enhancement.
Information Technology Consultation
RGIT Australia regularly consults with industry experts to update its learning resources and assessments to ensure they align with industry expectations. RGIT Australia’s Information Technology (IT) Department was delighted to host Australian Computer Society (ACS) Manager of Certifications, Henry Louey, and ACS Business Development Manager, T’arne Whelanon, at a consultation session held at RGIT Australia Main Campus on Tuesday, 28 August 2018.
RGIT Australia’s Information Technology (IT) Department Coordinator, Dr Shisir Manandhar, advised that RGIT Australia would encourage its students to take out ACS Student Membership as this would enhance their chances in securing employment following graduation.
Nursing Industry Consultation
RGIT Australia held an industry consultation in Level 7 Boardroom, Main Campus on Friday, 29 June 2018, with RGIT Australia’s academic departments and industry partners to share ideas in an open setting. It provided participants the opportunity to discuss academic requirements before guests were presented with a hospitality showcase by RGIT Australia hospitality students.
Sessions were held to validate documents of each department. Industry partners of RGIT Australia’s health, childcare, hospitality and business and IT departments were given a tour of each department’s respective practical spaces, including RGIT’s simulated Nursing Lab, Childcare environment and kitchen facilities.
Industry partners were presented with certificates of appreciation for their wholehearted attendance and participation at the event. RGIT Australia thanks all of its valued partners for contributing on the day, and looks forward to working closely with them in the future.
